Revelation 7:12
Revelation 7:1212saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”
Watchtower commentary takes as the great doxology directed to Jehovah alone — "Amen! Let the praise and the glory and the wisdom and the thanksgiving and the honor and the power and the strength be to our God forever and ever." The sevenfold ascription belongs to the Father, with the Lamb honoured separately as Jehovah's appointed king.
Compare with word for word. The same sevenfold formula — power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory, blessing — directed in 5:12 "to the Lamb who was slaughtered" and in 7:12 "to our God forever and ever." Identical liturgical structure, identical heavenly setting. And v13 of chapter 5 joins them explicitly: "to the One sitting on the throne and to the Lamb." The two doxologies are not separate honour and worship; they are one act of joint worship given to God and to the Lamb on the same throne. The Watchtower cannot give the doxology to the Father here as worship while giving the same doxology to the Lamb in 5:12 as mere obeisance.
