# The Gospel Test

Ask the JW to explain how someone can be saved RIGHT NOW — a dying person with three minutes to live. Most committed JWs cannot give a clear answer because their soteriology requires ongoing works, organisational membership, and surviving Armageddon. This exposes the difference between the JW "salvation plan" and the biblical gospel in a non-confrontational way.

## Opening Question

> "Imagine I've got three minutes to live. I've done terrible things and I know God will judge me. What do I need to do RIGHT NOW to be forgiven and enter God's kingdom?"

## Expected JW Responses

### Response 1

**JW says:** "You need to study the Bible with us and learn Jehovah's requirements."

**Observation:** Notice: they can't help a dying person. Their system requires TIME — Bible study, meetings, field service, baptism, enduring to the end. The thief on the cross had none of that (Luke 23:43).

### Response 2

**JW says:** "It's up to Jehovah / It's in God's hands."

**Observation:** This is what Desiree said in the Living Waters video. It sounds humble but it means "I don't know." Compare with Acts 16:31: "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved."

### Response 3

**JW says:** "You need to repent and exercise faith in Jesus' ransom sacrifice."

**Observation:** This is the closest a JW gets to the gospel. Affirm it! Then ask: "So is faith enough, or do you also need to be part of an organisation? Could the thief on the cross have been saved without joining anything?"

## Follow-Up

After they answer (or can't), share the biblical gospel simply: "The Bible says we've all broken God's law. Jesus died to pay the penalty we deserve. All you have to do is repent — turn from sin — and trust in Jesus. That's it. No organisation, no earning it, no waiting. Romans 10:9 — 'If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.'"
