# The Galatians Parallel

*Judaisers = Watchtower pattern*

**Strength:** Strong | **Tone:** Good | **Topic:** Salvation

## Doorstep Question

> "In Galatians, Paul confronts people who said 'Yes to Jesus, but also your works determine your standing with God.' His verdict: it's a different gospel. Does that sound like what the Watchtower teaches?"

## JW Claim

Faith in Jesus plus obedience to the organisation equals salvation.

## Strategy

The parallel between the Judaisers and the Watchtower is exact. Paul's response is anathema. This shows Paul directly confronting the same error.

## Key Insight

Paul confronted the exact same theological error two thousand years ago and called it 'a different gospel.'

## JW Responses & Counters

**JW says:** "We're not under the Mosaic law — that's different."

**Counter:** The principle is identical: adding any works requirement to grace-based salvation. Galatians 5:4 says if you seek justification by law, you've 'fallen from grace.'

## What to Avoid

Don't be harsh. Frame it as an observation about a parallel. The goal is to get them to read Galatians themselves.

## Homework

Read the entire book of Galatians in a regular English translation.
